Civil contractor for the construction of the multifamily housing project Alta Buena Vista. The site is an old Del Monte Cannery Building and the developer is keeping the walls of the existing cannery and constructing an apartment building inside the envelope of the building. The site itself is more than 10 acres and the project includes new development of the entire site with roads and hardscape. For the building portion of the project, D-Line’s scope of work included selective demolition of existing vintage overhang components that are to later be reinstalled, saw cut and removal of 100 openings on brick exterior wall for new windows, demolition and salvage of 200,000 SF wooden roof structure of the building, removal of interior slab on grade of 200,000SF building, structural excavation on building interior, crushing of 30,000TNS of concrete, and offhaul of Class II material. For the onsite/offsite civil portion of the project, D-Line performed site demolition, rough grading and earthwork, offhaul of class II material, lime treatment of the site; fine grading of the site, onsite installation of storm, sewer, water, rainwater capture, and fire systems; installation of 2,000 LF of steel welded EBMUD waterline system, electrical underground and substructures, PG&E gas line system, traffic signals underground, installation of concrete sidewalk and concrete curb, placement of AC, traffic signal installation, and landscape grading.
